when they come back, I’m going to heal their backsliding. I’m going to heal their backsliding. Thank God for God’s [music] faithfulness. Backsliding is a condition you can be healed of. It says in Jeremiah 3:22, it says, “Return, faithless children, and I [music] will heal your faithlessness.” So, it says, “Listen, return.
” You just have to have the heart to say, “Lord, I want it.” And God will give you power to heal you of the wavering. Samson, strong man, and yet he was overcome by his weakness. And what it tells you is that even if you’re strong, you think you’re strong, but if you’re not guarding your weaknesses, you’ll become weak. Alexander the Great conquered much of the world.
Yet, he was an alcoholic and he died young. The Bible says stronger than the general, I’m paraphrasing, who takes a conquers a city is the one who has control over his own spirit. And that is crucial because the enemy is always trying to get in those places in your life. Nobody plans to backslide. You know, when you get up, people don’t get up and they look at their planner and say, “Okay, you know, planning meeting 10:00, lunch at 12:00, phone meeting at at 1:00, 2:15. Backsliding.
” Nobody plans to yet it happens. Why? Because it’s what people don’t plan for. What are the things? How do people backslide? How do people start falling away from their love from God? One is by having idols. Because the enemy is always trying to get idols in your life. Anything that’s a substitute from God is going to rob your love from God.
Whether it’s money, big one, big idol right there. Love of many money has has pulled many people away. It says that in the Bible. I’ve seen it happen in the Lord. I’ve seen I’ve seen a person they got the house of their dreams and their house of their dreams and getting so wrapped up in it. Turn them away from God. Beware of idols.
Beware of And if there’s something in your life that’s already taking up space that is for God, that’s what you got to get out if you’re going to have revival in your life. Remember what happened? How do they have revival in the Bible? Oh, almost always it involved the smashing of idols. When there was revival, you had a king who went up to the high places and he would smash the idols, smash the high places and there’d be revival.
