The Red Dragon Revelation & the End Times

  • The first book of the Bible, Genesis, and the last book of the Bible, Revelation, each have a vision or a dream of the sun, the moon, and a set number of stars. One has 11, one has 12. But that’s really simple because there were 12 sons of Jacob. A great sign appeared in the heavens. A woman clothed with a sun, the moon under her feet, on her head a crown of 12 stars. She was pregnant.
  • She cried out being in labor in pain to give birth. Then another sign appeared in heaven. Behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and 10 horns. On his heads were seven crowns. His tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven and hurled them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth, he might devour her child.
  • She gave birth to a son, a male, who’s going to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, and her child was caught up to God and to his throne. Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God so that she would be nourished for 1,260 days. Go to verse 13.
  • When the because there’s a war in heaven, but we’re going beyond right now. And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the the male child. But the two wings of a great eagle were given to the woman so she could fly into the wilderness to her place where she was nourished for a time.
  • and times half a time from the presence of the serpent. And the serpent hurled water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with a flood. But the earth helped the woman. The earth opened its mouth and swallowed the flood that the dragon had spewed out of its mouth.
  • And the dragon was enraged with the woman. He went to make war with the rest of her offspring who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah. Let’s open it up. First verse. A great sign in heaven. Woman with a son clothed with a sun, the moon at her feet, a crown of 12 stars.
  • Who’s the woman? For ages, church commentators had said the woman is the church. Well, one of the symbols of the church is a woman and she’s the bride of the Messiah. And the woman is persecuted. The church was persecuted is persecuted. Is the woman the church? Here’s the problem. She was pregnant and she cried out being in labor and pain to give birth.
