The Mystery of Ezekiel 38 & 39: Gog, Magog and Russia
Russia is the most major Slavic nation and the Slavic peoples just happened to been birthed around the Black Sea which is the where the peoples of Ezekiel 38 are Russia the Soviet Union was against God and was against Israel Gog is against God and Israel then there’s a linguistic argument it says son of man set your face against Gog Magog, Rosh, Meshk, and Tubel.
Rosh, it was said is the root of Russia sounds a lot like Russia. Then you have Mess. They it was said that Messk is the root of Meshki, Moscow. And then you have Tubil, which sounds similar to the Russian city of Tubalsk. Rosh, Russia, Messk, Moscow, Tubul, Tubalsk. And it’s pretty much was a given among many believers that Russia is Ezekiel 38-39.
Not so fast. Here’s the other side. Ro is not a word for Russia. Russia in Russian is not pronounced rush or ro. It’s rosia, which doesn’t really sound like ro. It doesn’t come from the same root. It comes from a root r, which may be a Viking word, meaning those who row. But the other problem is we don’t even know if the word ro is a name.
Rosh is a Hebrew word. Ro means head. Roshashana means head. So we so some of your Bibles say ro. Others say chief of Russia chief of nations. Head of nations. So we’re not sure about that. So many Bibles will say that. Now you have to be careful. I mean by this reasoning you could say Russia is connected to Rush Limbbo more than it is to Ezekiel.
