As a seed has a code and [music] the code is life, the word of God is as the code of God. It contains the [music] life of God. Now when a very large crowd was coming together and those from the various cities were journeying to him, he spoke by way of a parable. He said, ‘The sewer went out to sew his seed, and as he sowed, some of the seed fell beside the road.
It was trampled underfoot, and the birds came and ate it. Other seed fell on rocky soil, and when it came up, it withered away because it had no moisture. But other seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it out. And yet still other seed fell into the good soil and grew up and produce a crop a h 100 times as much.
And he said these things. He would call out and say, “Let the one who has ears to hear, let him hear.” This is not the only time that God is shown in the Bible as a swer of seeds. For instance, it’s the other parable where the master, he sws seeds in his field and the enemy comes and sews weeds into the same harvest. The word Jezel in the Bible, you’ve heard it.
Jezreel, the valley of Jezrael, it means literally God has swn. God has sown seed. What is seed? This is going to be very important in order to open up this revealing. A seed biologically, scientifically can be defined in different ways. Two different ways particularly. One, a seed is what can be called a gameamt. And the other definition, it could be a zygote or embryo.
What does that mean? A game is a cell that has divided into two for the purpose of reproduction. You all learned that in high school when they told us about reproducing. A zygote or an embryo is the union of two gamites which develops the zygote develops into an embryo. Now the Bible speaks of seed in both ways.
There is also the seed of plants and trees and then there’s the seed of man. The seed of a plant is actually you may not may never have thought about it but the seed of a plant is actually an embryo. It is sewn into the ground and there it develops and becomes a tree or a plant. But the seed of man can be also a gamite, a divided cell.
But it can also speak of in the Bible when it speaks of seed can speak of a zygote or embryo, the union of cells, a new person, a new being. In fact, the Bible even speaks of seed as not just that as the developed embryo or people, the seed of Abraham. Not just talking about the lineage of Abraham, the bloodline, but it’s also speaking about all the Jewish people are called the seed of Abraham.
