LIFT Daily Prayer: Your Name in the Lamb’s Book of Life?
Today, December 8th, today’s the day. 84 years ago. 84 years ago. Today on a Monday morning, just like it is today, the United States Congress voted unanimously to uh declare war upon Japan uh for the uh surprise attack upon us uh yesterday, December 7th, 1941. Um very very big day. a day that we need to remember.
And we are on day 342. 23 days left together. And this is what we’re going to read, consider, and pray today. It is Revelation 21 27. Revelation 21 verse 27. And that verse reads this. And there shall be no there shall by no means enter into it anything that defiles or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
[snorts] One more time, Revelation 21:27. But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life. Friends, this is very important. And I know we don’t have the time to get into it much, but this is obviously uh when you read Revelation chapter 21 and Revelation chapter 22, um we’re talking about those who are enter those who enter into the kingdom of heaven and those who enter heaven, those who are in eternity period. Um
specifically, we’re talking about um heaven forever. And what’s the point? The point is having your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. So, I want all of you to go test this later. Don’t don’t take my word for this. You go look and see. Don’t ever get confused in thinking that God has one book in heaven and that’s all he’s got because that’s all he can afford or something.
I don’t know what that thought is, but there are many books in heaven. There’s the book of remembrance in Malachi 3 that’s mentioned. Um, there is the book of life that is mentioned both in I think it’s Exodus or Numbers. It’s mentioned by Moses. It’s al it’s also mentioned by Paul the Apostle in the book of Romans. the book of life.
Uh it’s mentioned in Revelation chapter 20 among those who um are being judged for their sins. The book of life, listen, every human being that has ever lived and ever shall live, born into this world, has their name written in the book of life. But not everyone gets their name written in the lamb’s book of life.
You go study the difference between those two particular books because when the Bible says there are those who had their names blotted out of the book of life there there are those passages that say that their names were not found [snorts] in the book of life. When you put them all together, go do a a word study on the book of the books of the Bible, not Genesis to Revelation, but the the books that God holds in record.
If your name is not if your name is not written in the Lamb’s book of life, that’s how your name is blotted out of the book of life. So everybody who’s been born is in the book of life, but not everybody who’s been born again, right? Keeps their name in the book of life. In fact, that’s that’s how you do it.
