So, I have a question that I would love to ask you and um I’m going to ask you to be brave enough to raise your hand if this applies to you. Who in here has ever felt like as they look around a room like this, why on earth am I here? Has anybody felt that? Has any has anybody Do you guys know what imposttor syndrome is? Like somehow I’ve been faking it and kind of making it and I made my way here, but I secretly inside just wonder like who am I? Anybody had a little bit of imposttor syndrome? Yeah,
me too. That’s very much what I felt like. You see, when I first started with Proverbs 31 Ministries, it was so so tiny. Uh, I had my first baby in an infant carrier when I went to my first meeting about Proverbs 31. At that time, it was a little newsletter called the Proverbs 31 homemaker, which is hilarious because if you know me, um, I I I love to make homes beautiful.
Like I love to make my environment beautiful, but ask me how to cook something pretty simple and I I’m going to have to YouTube it. That’s just how I roll, right? I’m not the one that cooks in my home. So, Proverbs 31 Homemaker, it was just this little newsletter to encourage other stay-at-home moms.
And that was that was what it was. And my daughter, who was in the infant carrier, is now 31 years old. So, it was a long time ago. And the really crazy thing about it is that when I helped start Proverbs 31, I told them that I was pretty good at marketing. And so, I just wanted to be in the background just helping market things.
Every now and then, I might write an article for the newsletter, but pretty much I wanted to be behind the scenes. And I definitely never ever wanted to hold a microphone and stand on stage. and they agreed to that. Now, let me explain a little bit more of why I felt that way. Number one, I was terrified of public speaking.
