Did you know that the word witness is martyr? We don’t often think about that, but to live a life for Jesus Christ is to be a martyr for Jesus. Meaning this, our lives do not shine, our lives do not uh stand out, but his life does. Putting ourselves on the back burner so that Christ shines forward ever more.

So being part of a witness is being a follower of Jesus. Absolutely. But we’re also called to exalt him. And by doing that, we live out his will in our lives on a daily basis. Therefore, the scripture declares to us for us to be confident in Christ. See, you and I can never be confident in our own works because we cannot be good enough.

But he already has, folks. That’s why Jesus came. And when he died on the cross and rose again from the grave, he invited us to follow him. Remember, he’s always out ahead. And with that, we can stand firm knowing that you and I have been justified and the Bible says sanctified through him.

There’s no better news than this. Walking in integrity and and in purity of heart and spirit, maintaining a clear conscience that reflects the commitment that we’ve made to Jesus Christ is a joyous way to live. Friends, experiencing true freedom in Jesus Christ is actually being one that is a slave of Jesus Christ, a servant of his. True liberty sets us free when we become obedient to Christ.
