Why You’re So Frustrated With People (And How to Fix It)
Good morning everybody. I hope you had a restful great weekend. I sure did. I tried a new church this Sunday and uh really enjoyed it. Very different from what I what I was used to. So today is Monday morning coffee devotionals and I hope you’ll join with me. You’ve got maybe you’ve got your Bible with you, but I want to walk with you for the whole week.
uh Mondays to to set a perspective and frame the week uh with a heart full of gratitude and joy and expectation of what God’s going to do. And then Wednesdays, a dangerous conversation with my son James. Good morning, James, by the way. Cheers. You got your cold brew. I’ve got my hot. And then Friday weekly wrap-ups of all things politics and culture through a biblical lens so that we can not just be depressed about the news, but we can actually start making history as the family of faith and have real takeaways to know what we can do to impact our
world around us. So today’s morning devotional thought is if you’ve ever wondered why you get so frustrated with people, why you find yourself constantly annoyed by other people, I’ve got the answer. I believe I believe that when we get frustrated and annoyed with other people, it’s because we’re living for ourselves rather than living for God.
Now, you may have been a little tweaked by me saying that. Uh, and that’s good because I want to get to the root of why we get so frustrated and annoyed. Wouldn’t you like to not be frustrated and annoyed anymore? Okay. So, so, so think about this. Our gut reaction is, well, if if they weren’t so difficult, I wouldn’t feel so frustrated.
If that person wasn’t so lame in what they’re doing or what they’re failing to do, then I wouldn’t be so annoyed with them. It’s their fault. That is a lie. That the enemy of your soul is whispering into your ear and you’re falling for it. That enemy is is the sinful desires of your own flesh. It’s the lies and propaganda that are told to you by an evil world system around us that wants you to be selfish because then you buy more stuff.
