The Savior Who Seeks (Luke 19:1–10)

  • Today on grace to you. Today salvation has come to this house today. Can you be saved in a day? Isn’t there a process involved? This was such a dramatic transformation. It was inconceivable that this man could change so totally so fast. What in the world makes us so embarrassed about the gospel? I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
  • [Music] [Music] Focusing on Christ is the most important, the most transforming thing that we can do. So let’s look at him in a conversation in the 19th chapter of Luke. Luke chapter 19. A very familiar story, but one that illustrates the greatest truth of his life. Luke 19. He entered Jericho and was passing through and there was a man called by the name of Zakius.
  • He was a chief tax collector and he was rich. Zakius was trying to see who Jesus was and was unable because of the crowd, for he was small in stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree in order to see him, for he was about to pass through that way. When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, “Zakius, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.
