God’s Promise to Cleanse and Restore Israel – A Reflection on Ezekiel 36:25

“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.”Ezekiel 36:25

This verse reveals a powerful truth: God promises to restore His people, not after they become righteous, but while they are still in a state He calls “filthiness.” This is significant because many Christians believe the Jewish people will only return to the land after accepting Jesus as the Messiah. But Scripture clearly shows that God brings them back first—then He begins the work of cleansing them.

God says, “I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean.” That is His divine order. The current spiritual condition of many in Israel reflects deep brokenness. Tragically, the number of abortions in Israel is comparable to the number of lives lost in the Holocaust. Occult practices are widespread, even among some Orthodox communities who make pilgrimages to tombs of deceased rabbis—acts that border on idolatry.
