The Power of Prayer: When God Moves for You
When you pray, God moves. He will leave where He is and come to where prayer is being lifted. Even the prayers of a minor prophet—one who only wrote three chapters in the entire Bible—can stir God’s presence. Though God is omnipresent, the Bible tells us, “God came from Teman.”
Teman was part of a horseshoe-shaped mountain range, with Mount Paran on the other end. This entire region, referred to in Scripture as Mount Sinai, is where God descended to meet Moses face-to-face. It was a sacred place where God warned the people not to approach, for His glory covered the mountain in fire and trembling. It was here that God inscribed the Ten Commandments with His fiery finger.
God operates in His divine purpose—creating galaxies, sustaining the universe, ruling over all things. But when a minor prophet uttered a short, passionate prayer, God moved. He left Teman, left His cosmic work, and came to that prophet. Why? Because every prayer matters to Him.
