if somebody gives you a treasure and you don’t really value it you’re not going to do anything with it but if you do value it you’re going to treasure the treasure and one of the things the Lord has is calling us to do is to treasure the treasure salvation is a [Music] treasure you know when the when I was in college you know of course a liberal college and all that they put on a a a show called Show Jesus Christ Superstar and there was an editorial about it and those who who were writing about it they said they said Jesus invented passive
they had this idea that somehow Jesus was passive and so that opened door so I wrote a I wrote a reply in the in the college newspaper I said there’s no way the Lord was passive he never if he was passive that means you just don’t do anything he never would have come to Earth the fact that he’s on Earth means he’s active and he’s active he is the light of the world that’s active it’s an active he’s the so therefore he says you are now the light of the world so we are active we are to act upon the world totally active but in a not in a natural
way but in a supernatural way we are to be supernaturally empowered to act what you have the whole book of Acts acts how does it start the spirit empowers them and then you get the book of Acts so it all comes again from God and then it flows out and becomes life and that’s that power comes that way from God so it’s God moving and yet it’s un us moving it’s all from God in us but we are also part of it it says love the Lord your God with all your heart all your mind all your strength that’s about as active as you can get to love God
with all of my heart with all of my strength my action with all wholehearted if you go to a movie or a play and the people the the actors in there if they’re if they’re just kind of they sound like they’re just reading lines and you don’t really hear the heart of it you’re going to say they’re bad actors because they’re half-hearted if somebody’s a good actor they’re you don’t even it sounds like it’s coming from their heart it sounds like it’s whole thing well same the same thing with the Lord we’re not acting like that
