The Origin of Self-Deception – Episode 2
-
is brought to you in part by the partners and friends of Crelo Dollar Ministries. Coming up next on Changing Your World. How How long do you want to be around somebody that doesn’t value you? They don’t value your opinions. They don’t they don’t respect you and you’re still wanting to be around that idiot.
-
Why would you want to be around somebody like that? It’s because you don’t think much of yourself and and you keep deceiving yourself into thinking that these people really care about you and THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT YOU. THE GREATEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE IS GOING TO BE WHEN YOU CAN WALK AWAY from the situation knowing, “I KNOW THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT ME, BUT I CARE ABOUT ME AND GOD CARES about me.
-
” And forget them because they’re missing out on a great friend. >> You ever seen anybody like that just doing anything just to hang around somebody? >> Bro, forget you, bro. I’d rather be by myself eating a McDonald’s hamburger with some cold French fries than to be around somebody that only sees me as their opportunity. >> Join Taffy Dollar for the 2026 Radical Women’s Conference March 19th and 20th.

Let every heart that needs to know your love is here to stay. Oh, it’s time we live a new life. Let us love shine bright in you. We’re safe by his grace. We embrace your love today. We are changed. Let’s let’s look at some things. Let’s look at about nine things self-deception comes from. All right. Number one, self-deception often comes from fear.
-
It comes from fear. A lot of my self-deception in my life and in my ministry came from fear. I was afraid that what the word promised was not true. That’s crazy, isn’t it? That’s the biggest fear amongst Christian Christian people. The biggest fear amongst believers is that I’m afraid that what God promised won’t happen.
-
The three fears that I want you to look at real quick, the fear of failure, the fear of rejection, and the fear of change. Each one of those fears can open the door for an opportunity for selfdeception to come in. First of all, the fear of failure. It’s like avoiding situations where they see a potential for failing.
