Uh we’re uh gathering together again for part of our American campfire revival. I’ve got my uh my pocket fire right here rather than making my my normal uh full-size campfire to try to beat the heat here in the summer. And uh we’re going to pray together as the family of faith. We’re going to ask for heaven’s help.
I’ve got some fresh flowers here. Somebody delivered these and I’m so thankful. They’re beautiful. They smell great and it’s just perfect. as we look into the love dare, this 40-day journey to learn how to love your spouse unconditionally, regardless of their response to you, whether they’re a believer or not, uh, or even if you’re not a believer in God or you’re not where you’d like to be in your relationship with God, this is a journey that we’re taking to cultivate our relationship with God and to learn how to celebrate the growth, even if
it’s tiny growth in our spouse, a tiny little seed that sprouts just a little bit gives us hope that more growth is on the way and the sweet fruit is promised by that little sprout. So, uh let’s pray together. And I also want to remind you that uh I’ve got the elements of communion here, the bread and the wine that we’re going to take here at the very end.
So, I hope you get those ready as well. All right. Um let’s go ahead and pray. Dear Lord, Jesus uh when he taught his disciples to pray said, “Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Oh God, I pray that same prayer together with uh thousands of brothers and sisters all over the country and the world right now.
We pray to you, our father. Thank you for such a a an endearing title that we give to you and and we only get to do that by virtue that you have first named us as your sons and daughters when we believe the gospel and we’re adopted into your family. Now you’re our father and Lord, you are in heaven and and we want your kingdom in heaven to come to earth and we want your will to be done on earth.
