But with God, so it’s so crucial to pass your test. You got to focus on what is not temporary. Focus on the big picture, the long picture, what you’ve got in God. Remind yourself of the big picture. Remind your soul like David spoke to his soul. Remind yourself. Listen. Remember, don’t panic.
Remember, you’ve had trials before, but God got you through every one of them. Remember his faithfulness. Remember his answered prayers. Remember all these things. It’s going to pass. [Music] At my son Ariel’s school, they have a competition with other schools for Bible knowledge, a Bible be. So they had to pick delegates.
So there was a test to find out the three who would come from his grade. And there are about 40 pages of notes to study for this, the book of Acts and other things. So I’d go over with him uh night after night after night. And you know, it was hard for him and hard to do go through, but we kept doing he took the test and he was chosen at the top to do it.
Um then on the week of the Bible be he got sick and couldn’t do it. But he studied for it. He had the knowledge he just could not take the final the final test there. He was out for a week this last week and he comes back to school and there’s a Latin test. But being out sick, he had no way to study for it.
So now he’s a test with no preparation. And he told my wife, he said, “I don’t feel confident of this.” And my wife called the teacher, said he hasn’t been taught any of this. And she held off on taking the test until she had time. So the one time he had preparation and he had no test and then he had a test with no preparation. Between the two, it’s the first is better.
It’s better to be prepared and have to be not have to be tested than to be tested and not prepare in our school days. How many people I’m going to I ask this occasionally. How many people were good students? How many people were average students? How many people were bad students? How many people apparently weren’t in school at all? Apparently you we didn’t have education in our school days. We had quizzes.
