The First Day of Greatness

  • The beginning of a story determines the rest of the story. The beginning of an action determines the rest of the action. God has new things for you this year. And you have to be willing to step into what is new, even if it’s different from everything you’ve known. What God has for you, what is new for this year, is linked to your calling.

  • and I’m ruined because I’m a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts. Now, this is a beginning scripture linked to Isaiah’s beginning ministry. You’ll understand why I read this later. We’re going to pick up on that. Today is the first month of the year, the first weekend of the month, the start of the new year.
  • Sunday is the first day of the week and today is the first Sunday of the new year. Sunday is not called Sunday in the Bible. It’s called yom rishon. Yom means day. Yom kapore day of yom. Rishon means the head or the first the first day. So Sunday in Hebrew in Israel and in the Bible is called the first day. It’s the day one. Day of the beginning is another way of translating it. Now think about this.
