Christians are being persecuted not just in Muslim countries, not just in communist China, but in the quote Christian West. Only in recent years in Europe have Christians been put on trial because they quoted the Bible or followed their faith. So too in Canada and in America, it’s [Music] coming. The Antichrist civilization.
In Revelation, the world celebrates the death of the two witnesses. They follow the beast, the Antichrist. They war against God, against the lamb, Messiah, against the people of God. Now, for almost 2,000 years, Western civilization was Christian or resting on a Judeo-Christian foundation. But that’s not the world you see in Revelation.
What you see is a world given to evil, godlessness, anti-God, anti-Christian spirit. That requires something which is spoken of elsewhere in the Bible. A great apostasy, a great falling away, turning away from God, from the Christian faith, from the Bible, from Messiah. This has to happen. A Christian civilization is not going to follow the Antichrist.
And this has never happened before modern times. Only again in the 20th and 21st century has seen the greatest falling away in the history of the faith. The greatest most rapid widespread overturning of morality in human history. It can be seen in what happened to the Soviet Union. It can be seen in what happened to Germany when it turned away.
It can be seen what’s happening now in America and much of the world. It is the most massive dchristianization the world has ever seen. So much so that the majority of the newest, youngest generation may not even consider themselves to be even nominally Christian, but something else pagan nothing. It’s not only that we’re witnessing the rise of a non-Christian civilization.
We’re witnessing the rise of an anti-Christian civilization. Now, if the Christ leads to a Christian civilization, what does an anti-Christian civilization lead to? The Antichrist. So, it’s not just that the Antichrist is going to come out of the blue and say, “Hey guys, let’s do this. Messiah came at the time prepared. The Antichrist will come to a world prepared for him.
He will be accepted, welcomed, and then worshiped.” So, what will we have to see happen? We’d have to see the Christian civilization for the last 2,000 years begin transforming, morphing away from God. We’ve watched it. We’re watching it happen every day. First to a non-Christian civilization, mainstream culture, then to an anti-Christian mainstream culture.
Just look at the Olympics. That never would have happened even a few years ago. Now the antichrist has not been revealed yet but the spirit of antichrist is already in the world and this phenomenon has only reached this state in recent times only now. The sign of persecution. Revelation 13 says the beast was given power to make war against the saints.
Revelation 16 they have shed the blood of your saints and prophets. Revelation 17 I saw the woman. She was drunk with the blood of the saints. the blood of the martyrs of Messiah Yeshua, Jesus. When I saw her, I marveled greatly. I saw the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore the testimony to Jesus.
The book of Revelation reveals that in the last days, the people of God will be persecuted, even killed. Now, the people of God were persecuted in Rome at the dawn of the age. But once Rome and the West became Christianized, that wasn’t the case. at least not blatantly or openly. They would never persecute in the name against the name of Jesus.
