the revelation of God when he came to Earth is given as four the four gospels the four accounts they are all like four sides of God on Earth but let’s begin as we look at the first major Vision in the Book of Revelation if you have your Bibles open up if you don’t just listen that’s fine Revelation 1 verse 10 I was in the spirit on the Lord’s day and I heard behind me a loud voice as of a trumpet saying I am the Alpha and the Omega the first and the last what you see write in a book and send it to the seven churches
which are in Asia to Ephesus Smyrna pergamos thota Sardis Philadelphia and laia then I turned to see the voice that spoke to me and having turned I saw seven golden lampstands all right why seven golden lampstands and why does that stand it stands for the seven churches or Gatherings but why seven golden lampstands to understand it you need to go to the Hebrew Scriptures it comes from Exodus 25 you can go or listen Len then you will make a lampstand of pure gold the lampstand its base its shaft will be made of hammered work its cups
its bulbs its flowers one piece six branches three to the one three to the other one in the middle that makes seven this is the making of the temple or Tabernacle and this is the golden lampstand that would burn in the temple and it has seven branches Al together so now in Revelation you’re reading seven lampstands some people believe picture it that it’s seven separate standing lampstands it may be but others the Greek word can mean also it could be one all joined together and these are seven branches the Greek word lukia can
refer to anything that is holding a light a branch or a full separate one and in the Greek made before when they get to Exodus and it talks about the this lampstand it uses basically the same word that’s used in Revelation in Hebrew the word is manora the seven Branch translated as seven LS are it’s in some form linked to the manura in Exodus of God which represents what the light of God it represents the light of his people what does it reveal it it burns inside the temple it burns not outside but in this is a picture of God’s people
