The Book of Esther and The Mystery of The Cosmic Haman
The brazen serpent was something that was used by God to heal the Israelites and yet they started worshiping it. So something can be good but the enemy turns it bad. Anything good can become an idol. Even things of God can become an idol to replace God. This is the first appearance of Hmon in the Bible. Esther 3 verse 1.
After these things, King Aoseros promoted Hmon, the son of Hamadata, the Agagite, you have the king, you have the queen, and then Hmon comes and he’s lifted up and begins after these things. Doesn’t seem like it’d be real significant, but could there be something deeper? In the spiritual realm, it is very deep. The Bible opens up in the beginning, God.
In the book of John, in the beginning, the word. God is from the beginning. See, the enemy is not there from the beginning. The enemy was not there from the beginning with God. He was there after. He is not the beginning. He is not the foundation. He is not absolute like God is. He’s not the first. He’s not absolute reality. He comes after.
In Eastern religion and philosophy, they believe that everything is God. It’s as if they believe that almost God had amnesia and forgot that he was God and so we’re in this world and we forget and we’re all part of that. So God is everything in Eastern religion. Then on the other hand you have modern secular quote scientific materialistic view of reality.
It’s the opposite of Eastern religion but it’s also the same in the end. So one says Eastern says God is the world and the modern secular says the world is God. It’s the final reality. But then there’s another realm of thought that’s called dualism. Dualism. And dualism can be seen actually in Persian religion. This place where we see Hmon, it was called manacayism.
The Gnostics uh got into this. And the idea of dualism is really that there’s a good God and a bad god. And so there’s a good God, bad god, and they’re waring against each other. But the problem is how can you tell which one is bad or good? Each one has their own values. You can’t judge anything good or bad unless you have one standard to say something is evil or good.
