Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before You at the start of this new day
with humility and gratitude.

Thank You for waking me up,
for the breath in my lungs,
and for the quiet mercy that meets me this morning.
This day is a gift from You,
and I choose to honor You with it.

Lord, as I step into the hours ahead,
I ask that You take the lead.
Order my thoughts before they become words,
and my words before they become actions.
Keep my heart soft,
my spirit attentive,
and my conscience sensitive to Your voice.

I do not want to rush ahead of You
or fall behind.
I want to walk in step with Your will.

When responsibilities feel heavy,
remind me that I do not carry this day alone.
When distractions compete for my attention,
help me stay focused on what truly matters.
Shape my attitudes, refine my character,
and let my life reflect Your goodness
even in unseen moments.

Your Word says:

“This is the day the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
(Psalm 118:24)

So today, Father,
I choose rejoicing over complaining,
gratitude over anxiety,
and trust over fear.
No matter what unfolds,
help me recognize Your hand at work
and remain thankful in all circumstances.

Your Word also reminds me:

“Commit your work to the Lord,
and your plans will be established.”
(Proverbs 16:3)

Today I commit my plans,
my responsibilities,
and my expectations into Your hands.
Establish my thoughts in truth and clarity.
Calm my mind, remove confusion,
and align my desires with what pleases You.

Lord, I lift up my family and loved ones to You.
Surround them with Your protection.
Guide them in their journeys today
and meet each one at their point of need.
Strengthen our relationships,
deepen our love,
and keep us covered by Your grace.

If healing is needed—
physical, emotional, or spiritual—
I ask that Your restoring power be released today.
Bring comfort where there is pain,
hope where there is discouragement,
and light where heaviness remains.

Nothing is beyond Your reach.

As I move through this day,
help me reflect Christ—
to speak with kindness,
act with integrity,
and love without condition.
Make me attentive to Your guidance
and ready to serve when You call.

Father, I surrender this entire day to You.
Open the doors that align with Your purpose.
Close the ones that would lead me away from it.
Give me discernment to trust You fully in both.
