Seek First the Kingdom: Authority, Glory & Victory in Christ

  • Matthew 6 verse 25-34 I’m going to I won’t read it all basically says don’t take any thought about what you’re going to eat about your life about what you’re going to drink about your body what you’re going to wear is life not more than meat and drink and uh garment and everything else but that word take no thought means don’t be anxiously careful now what’s the problem with the world right Now they’re stressed out.
  • They’re over anxious. And he’s saying, “Don’t be too anxious about all these things, your everyday needs.” And the truth of it is is that I bet many people are anxious. Okay, you can go, “Well, I’m I’m not too anxious. I’ve got food on the table. I I drove, but I’m anxious about these taxes being raised.
  • I’m anxious about maybe what’s going to happen in the stock market. I’m anxious if uh they’re going to shut down our state or I’m anxious about these things. And God’s saying, don’t be anxious about life. And this is a generation. This is a time that we’re born into. And God has carved you and cut you out. You are the workmanship.
  • Trust me, you’re the man. You’re the woman to do the job for Jesus for such a time as this. >> Because purpose is parenthetical. So, you have been a sent person into time. And God has you in this moment. And you have [music] God and you have a job to do for Jesus. And that job is significant.
  • In fact, that job is probably greater than ever [music] before. And so that’s vitally important. Purpose is the intention of God. And he goes on and says, “Look, don’t I take care of the birds and they don’t either sew or reap?” He goes, “Look at the liies. Look at look at this field. Don’t I array them better than all of Solomon’s glory?” Which was pretty um [music] significant there.
  • And he said, “The Gentiles, those who aren’t even in covenant, seek after all these things.” But he tells us in verse 33, “But you seek after or seek first the kingdom.” I’ll talk a lot about that tonight. The kingdom of God and his righteousness, then all these things, all these things, and it’s interesting, shall be added.
