You’re watching KCMI TV, and I’m so glad you’re here. Are you ready for the Word of the Lord today? I know you are! If you weren’t, you wouldn’t be tuning in. Today, I want to talk to you about seed, miracles, and sowing—something God has placed in my spirit recently. We’ll begin with our first verse from 2 Corinthians 9:10: “Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.”

This verse speaks about God’s provision. It says that He gives seed to the sower, and He also multiplies the seed sown and increases the fruits of our righteousness. This principle is also mentioned in the book of Jeremiah, where God is called the Lord of the Harvest. Paul touches on a similar concept, saying that one person may plant, another may water, but only God gives the increase. According to God’s Word, it is not our responsibility to make the seed grow. All He asks of us is to sow the seed. Furthermore, God promises to provide the seed for us. He doesn’t expect us to come up with it on our own.

The only act of obedience required between planting the seed and seeing it grow into a harvest is the act of planting it. While modern farming techniques have changed, in ancient times, and even just a few decades ago, when someone was going to plant a field, they would sling a bag of seed over their shoulder. They would take handfuls of seed from the bag and scatter it across the field. This imagery is important because it helps us understand what is in our hands.
