The Power of the Spoken Word
-
You’re watching KCMI TV. I want to talk to you today about u probably one of the greatest principles uh in a Christian’s life. It literally determines our future. And I hate to admit this, but it it took me a lot of years before I really got a revelation of what I want to talk to you about.
-
And I want to talk to you about the spoken word and the language that we speak. Uh the Bible says this about the word of God that it is alive and it is powerful. And we go all the way back to uh creation. And when God uh made man and they began to to multiply, he gave them a pure language. They all spoke the same language and there wasn’t any confusion.
-
U there wasn’t any problems with understanding because they spoke a language that God gave them and it was powerful. Uh because it’s not until we get to the story of the Tower of Babel that we find that God looks down and he says because of the language that they speak, there is nothing that they cannot accomplish.
-
And so the scripture says God confused their language. That’s why we call it the Tower of Babel. They babble. And he he lit he gave them multiple languages so they could not understand each other and when they could not understand each other then they could no longer accomplish their purpose. So just as there are natural laws in creation that govern the way we live.

Um like gravity um you can’t change it. You can’t say, “Well, I lost 50 lbs, so I think I can fly now.” It doesn’t work that way. Gravity is a law that cannot be changed. But there are also spiritual laws that govern our life and really determine our future. And you can’t change them either. And so um thoughts thoughts cannot create.
