You’re watching KCMI TV, and praise the Lord! Today, I want to talk to you about the character of God. To live victoriously with the Lord in the long term, we must be fully convinced that God is faithful to us. We all face times of testing, and it is in these moments, when the enemy accuses God to us, that we must remain firmly convinced of God’s faithfulness.

In my recent studies, I discovered something important. There are verbs in the Bible that end in “eth.” These verbs are present tense, describing continuous, habitual, or unchanging action. Whenever a verb ending in “eth” refers to God the Father, Jesus Christ, or the Holy Spirit, it highlights the unchanging nature of God’s promises to His children.

For example, Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Just as He was faithful to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, He remains the same forever. Malachi 3:6 declares, “I am the Lord; I do not change.” There are people in our lives whom we believed would be with us forever, but relationships often change due to differences, especially spiritual ones. However, with Jesus, it is not that way—He does not change. Psalm 102:25-27 says, “The heavens and the earth will perish, but You, Lord, are the same, and Your years will never end.” Isaiah 40:8 states, “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.” This emphasizes that God’s word and promises endure forever. James 1:17 affirms, “With God, there is no variation or shadow of turning.”

These verses show us that God is not fickle. His consistency and character are not based on our actions. In fact, the Lord swore by Himself, as there is no one else upon whom He could base His unchangeable nature.
