You’re watching KCMI TV. Let’s dive into the Word of the Lord. Today, I’ll be sharing many verses with you. In Ephesians 1:20, speaking of Jesus Christ, it says, “Which He wrought in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and set Him at His own right hand in heavenly places.” This verse declares that when Jesus Christ was raised from the dead and restored to His original glory, He was seated in heavenly places at the right hand of the Father. He didn’t stay on earth or in a low place. The Bible says the earth is His footstool, but heaven is His throne. Jesus returned to His ruling position in heaven.
In 1 John, it states, “As Christ is, so are we in this world.” This aligns with Ephesians 2:6, which says, “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” Jesus Christ made us to be seated in heavenly places with Him. Not everyone experiences this in the natural realm, but in the spiritual realm, we have the potential to be in the same position as Christ in heavenly places.
I want to talk to you today about going higher in the Lord. I was praying recently, and I heard the Lord say, “You need to come up higher.” The Bible speaks of Christ ascending far above all principalities, powers, and might. When Jesus was crucified, it seemed like the lowest point of His life, but it was actually the fulfillment of His purpose at its highest. In Ephesians, it talks about Christ descending to the lower parts of the earth, not in defeat, but to reach the Old Testament saints. He descended to accomplish something, then ascended, rising higher.
We are not meant to bring God down into our problems to join us in pity. When God comes down, it’s not to stay in defeat, but to lift us up into His solutions. Think of the lame man at the gate Beautiful. When Jesus healed him, He said, “Take up your bed and walk.” Many times, we miss this victory because we don’t take up our bed and walk. The first test comes, and we fall back into the place from which God has delivered us. But each day, walking with God, we are called to rise higher. This is God’s nature.
