Being Led By The Spirit of God

• You’re watching KCMI TV. Well, this is one of my favorite things, just getting to the word of the Lord. U glad you joined me today. And we’re going to take a key verse out of the book of Acts, uh chapter 4 and verse 13. And before I read that, I just want to talk a little bit. The Bible says this for you and I, as many as are led by the spirit, they are the sons of God.
• So this is a this verse is just full of so much. But what I want to talk about in that verse is if we are the sons of God or and the daughters of God, then we don’t get to choose the path that we walk on. The Holy Spirit does. And so when you’re in the will of God, wherever you are, it wasn’t your choice to be there, but the spirit of God has led you there.
• As many as are led by the spirit, they are the sons of God. And so we are led by the Holy Ghost. One verse talks about we’re led by our peace. And Jesus said, “I am the prince of peace.” So just just establishing that is that it is it is God that leads us. That means if if the Lord is leading us then he’s ahead of us.
• That also means if he’s ahead of us we can see him. So in Acts uh chapter 4 and verse 13 it says, “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled and they took knowledge of them that they had been with Jesus.” When it says here that they they perceive that they were ignorant and unlearned, it doesn’t mean that they were uh mentally incapacitated or had some mental issues.
• It just simply meant concerning the law that they had not been schooled in the law. Not like the prophets and the scribes and the Pharisees. They didn’t have that level of knowledge of the law. But it says this. It said they saw the boldness of Peter and John and they realized that they had been with Jesus.
• And so I just want to create a little path here through the scriptures. Peter and John were led by the Holy Spirit. And in this Bible, it says this. It says people recognized that these men had been with Jesus. So that meant they were following Jesus. And because of that, it says they had boldness. When you have boldness, it means you’re not intimidated.
