Breaking Limitations

• Hi, I’m Pastor Candy Christmas of Regeneration Nashville and I’m so happy to have this time together with you today. And if no one’s told you they love you yet, I want to be the first. I love you and I’m so happy that you’re here. Today I want to talk with you about breaking limitations. Breaking limitations.
• So many times the enemy wants to put limitations on us and restrict us and restrain us from all that God has called us to do. And you know we as believers, we are so intelligent uh as far as knowing how to fight against the enemy that’s out there. and the enemy, you know, the war of the spirit. But can I just submit to you right now that sometimes the war in the spirit is not out there, but many times it’s right here.
• And we put limitations on ourselves. Recently, I was invited to speak uh at a at a pastor’s conference. And so for the last 40 years, I’ve traveled with my husband, sat on the front row, and he’s preached the word of the Lord and been used powerfully by the Holy Ghost to speak at pastor’s conferences. But for some reason, this time they invited me.
• And so I I got there. I have so much confidence in him. But I’m standing there on the front row and I’m about to step up to the podium. And you know the the church has just erupted in this glorious praise and the people of God are worshiping and it’s powerful. And the more powerful the worship gets, the more uh incapable, the more small I felt.
• And I’m standing there and and I’m like, why am I here? Am I even even capable of doing this? And finally, I just came to the conclusion, I just can’t do this. And I told the Lord, I said, “Lord, I don’t think I can do this.” And the Holy Ghost is so sweet. He said, “You don’t have to. I’ll do it for you.” And the Holy Ghost was so good with me to me.
• He walked up there with me to the podium. And the Holy Spirit came on me and he preached and he gave me thoughts and and and prophetic words and an uncction things that weren’t even in my notes. And God was just so good to me even though I had put limitations on my mind and limitations on who I was in God.
• The Holy Ghost went me with me and he was so good. So, I just want to talk with you about breaking the self-imposed limitations that we have in our minds that hold us back from our true purpose and the plan of God in our life and how God wants to use us as individuals. And I’ll just say this recently I uh was reading online about these poor elephants that are still being used as uh beasts of burden uh in Asian countries and uh around the world.
• And so the way they train these these elephants, they still use them in logging, they use them in tourism, they use them in so many different ways. And they capture them and they put this chain around their foot and they tether them to this huge stake. And this poor elephant will strain and pull against the chain, this heavy chain.
