Greetings, my beloved friends. I’m so grateful to God for the opportunity to speak to you all today. And I want you to know that this moment is not ordinary. You are not here by accident. I believe with all my heart that God has appointed this very time for you to hear a word that will not just encourage you, but challenge you to rise above how you feel and walk in the confidence of his promises.
Now, let me begin with a story I once heard of a young man who was so overwhelmed by life’s pressures that he thought his situation would never turn around. He had lost his job. His health was failing. And his relationship seemed to crumble all at once. He said to himself, “There’s no point in trying anymore. I feel like quitting.” But instead of giving up, he decided to hold on just one more day and then another and then another.
Eventually, God opened a door for him that no man could shut. The very job he thought he would never find came through. His health began to recover. And the relationships he thought were gone forever were restored. Looking back, he said, “I’m so glad I didn’t give up because God was faithful even when I didn’t feel like moving forward.
” Furthermore, I want you to think about how many times you felt like giving up yourself. Maybe not on life completely, but on a dream, on a goal, on a relationship, or even on trusting God. You told yourself, “What’s the point? My feelings are too heavy. My heart is too tired. My faith is too small.” Yet, here you are today listening to this word.
And that in itself is proof that God has not let you go. Moreover, I need you to understand something powerful. Feelings are real, but they are not always reliable. You may feel like you are a failure, but God calls you victorious. You may feel weak, but God calls you strong. You may feel forgotten, but God says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.
” That’s why the hookline for today is simple. Feelings may lie, but God’s word never fail. In addition, the word of God reminds us in 2 Corinthians chapter 5:7, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” What does that mean? It means that even when your feelings scream one thing and your circumstances paint another picture, faith teaches you to hold on to God’s promises.
You may not see it right now. You may not feel it right now. But faith says, “If God said it, I believe it.” And that settles it. Likewise, let’s be honest. There will always be days when your emotions try to convince you that quitting is the only option. But that’s when you remind yourself that feelings are temporary while God’s word is eternal.
You don’t have to feel strong to keep moving. You only need to keep trusting. Finally, I want you to look at your own life right now. Is there an area where you’ve been tempted to give up? Is there something in your heart that says, “I don’t think I can keep going.” Today I declare over you that you are stronger than you think because you are not walking by what you feel.
You are walking by faith in a God who never fails. All right, let’s continue. When we think about life, one thing we all face is the constant pull of our feelings. Feelings of fear, of discouragement, of inadequacy. Feelings that whisper, “You are not good enough. You don’t have what it takes. You might as well stop trying.” And if we are honest, there are times when those feelings seem louder than the truth we know. Yet, the reality is this.
