“Morning Prayer: Receive God’s Favor and Blessings Today!”
You didn’t wake up today by accident. You woke up because mercy refused to let your story end in failure. Now, I need you to listen not just with your ears, but with your heart. Because the first truth God wants to settle in your spirit is this. You may not feel ready, but mercy has already qualified you.
You may have walked into this moment thinking of everything you are not, everything you failed at, everything that didn’t work out. But heaven is not consulting your feelings before releasing your future. There are people under the sound of my voice who have been silently disqualifying themselves. You smile in public, but in private, you wrestle with the weight of regret.
You replay your mistakes. You wonder if you’ve gone too far, fallen too many times, or delayed God for too long. And the enemy has used your pastor as his loudest microphone. But tonight, God is about to silence every lie with one truth. Mercy has already spoken on your behalf. Some of you have been faithful yet unnoticed.
Others have been broken yet still believing. And many are tired, not tired of God, but tired of waiting on what he promised. You prayed, you tried, you trusted, but somewhere along the way, disappointment whispered, “Maybe I’m not the one.” I came to announce to you that your struggle is not proof of disqualification. Your struggle is proof that purpose is still fighting for you.
If the devil really had you, he wouldn’t still be chasing you. If God were truly done with you, you wouldn’t still be hungry for more. That restlessness in your spirit is not anxiety. It is destiny knocking. The Bible says in Lamentations 3 22 to 23 that it is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning. Great is his faithfulness. Not new every year. Not new after you get it right. New every morning. Meaning before you woke up today, mercy was already waiting for you. Before you made another mistake, mercy was already renewed. Before you doubted yourself again, mercy had already decided your future would not end in shame. You are still standing.
Not because you are perfect, but because mercy has been sustaining you when you didn’t even know it. Some of you should have been destroyed by what you went through. The pressure should have broken you. The failure should have buried you. The disappointment should have hardened your heart. But look at you. You’re still breathing, still believing, still hoping, still showing up. That is not luck.
That is mercy in action. Mercy is the reason the enemy couldn’t finish you. Mercy is the reason your worst season didn’t become your last season. Mercy is the reason your worst season didn’t become your last season. Mercy is the hand of God pulling you up when you didn’t have the strength to stand. Now listen carefully.
