It means our faith is truly about the ultimate love. Not just doctrally, but we got to get it into our emotion. Get because this will heal a million problems. If we get into it that I am surrounded by love, it tells you the closer you are to him, the more wonderful it gets. The closer you are to him, the more awesome it gets.
The closer you are to other people, it could get the other way. It could get familiar, but not with him. The closer you get, the more sure you are of him. The more sure you are of his awesomeness. The more in awe of you, of awe of him. You know, some people could be awed people they don’t know, but him, it’s the opposite.
The more you know, the more in awe you become. It says the New Testament, they were all in a had a sense of awe and God moved. The more awesome he becomes. It says, it says, “Magnify the Lord.” But you can never magnify him enough. He’s greater than anything you can know. But the the more you know that’s what Paul could say after years of knowing him.
He said there’s one thing he says I there’s one thing I have one goal is that I might know him. Wow. He says I count everything else as garbage compared to the value of knowing him. I press on that I might know him. The deeper you go in him the better it gets. The more is shown. The more is revealed. The more you flow in it.
The more unbelievable it becomes. you know, he’s he’s he’s unbelievable. We believe it’s believably unbelievable until it gets to the point, you know, here, you know, that it’s got to be that nothing but God could explain all this. Nothing. How you take a bunch of fishermen who were who would have lived their lives, we never would have heard of them, and they become the most famous people in the world.
Why? Because they just said yes to him. They were touched by him. They went with him. They went with him and they became changed. How could they write this? How could Peter write what he wrote? Fishermen. How could they write that? Because it was God. And now the last two things. It had to be God. Last two points.
And we’re going to do a whole another thing on this because there’s so much. But here’s the thing. Why is it so important that you know that he is God? Why is that important? What does that tell you? that God himself became your salvation. That the one on the cross was God. What does it tell you? It tells you first that what he did was total.
It wasn’t him just appointing it to somebody, a prophet. It was total. Total giving himself to you, total devotion to you, total love for you, total everything for you. God is total. God is 100%. And when he does something, he does it 100%. He gives himself 100%. That’s total. He was totally God and yet he was in man so he could actually give his life.
That means the only way to live your life for him is to live it totally. That’s why half-hearted never works. Divided never works. That’s why you’re miserable when you go back and forth. But when you go all out, you are you are have joy. Amen. Go all out. Go total because God is total. Follow him totally. Step out totally. Believe him totally.
