• Well, recently we’ve been going through a study series on being busted or broken. And uh I have to tell you that it’s a message that gets inside and under your skin and it’s supposed to do that. That’s God’s plan that his word gets into us. And so what’s very important for us is to realize that he’s been calling us to come to the end of ourselves.
• And um listen to come to the end of ourselves mean that we come to the end of self-defense. Now, I’m not talking about self-defense. If somebody punches you in the nose or tries to rob you, you’re supposed to defend yourself. But I’m talking about how you always have to be the one who wins, where self rules, self reigns. It’s all about you.
• It’s all about how how and what you get out of it. And listen, it’s almost impossible to have a relationship with anybody when that’s the situation. Be it in life, be it friendships, certainly be it a marriage. it just isn’t going to work. The end of self-focus has to happen. Why is there so much thought about ourselves? You and I live in a culture that bombards us with how we need to be number one.
• We’ve got to be the the one at the top of the ladder. It’s all about us and what we can get. No, it’s not, my friends. And God has provided the way out for us. The end of self-awareness is when we actually become aware of God. And so what we want to do now is dive into a message that teaches us more about how we can be honestly found by Christ by being lost in him.
