LIFT Daily Prayer: Too Many Wonders to Number | December 30, 2025
-
Day 364. Good morning to all of you. Sound is good. All right. Just another second. I know it’s just now past 5 here in Southern California, but uh hope you’re hope you’re doing well. Hope you’re being safe. Hope you’re keeping your eyes on Jesus. Hope you’re hanging in there, hanging on to him. I I should say as you hang on to him, it’s because he is hanging on to you.
-
Here we go everybody. It’s Psalm 40 verse5. So for those of you who are writing your journals that I’ve heard some great things about, we’re looking at Psalm 40 verse5. Psalm 40 verse 5. Oh Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If I tried to recite all your all of your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them.
-
I thought this is a fitting verse for the ending of the new year or ending of this year. And on the on the brink of a new year, I want you to think back right now as I read this again. Think back over the course of this year. Think think back, but think in a way where you’re pulled back from what’s right in front of your nose.
-
Because the stuff that’s in front of our nose can blind us to the totality of the fact that God did great things for us this year. Many times I think Satan’s plan is to get us to not see them or recognize them. The psalmist knew that too. He knew exactly what you and I go through. Oh Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for us.
-
Think of that. Meditate on that today. Take out a list of paper or postit, little pieces of paper. Keep it nearby. Write write down. What comes to mind with this challenge? What has the Lord performed for you this year that’s been a wonder? He goes on, “Your plans for us are too numerous to list.” So you he didn’t say don’t start listing.
