LIFT Daily Prayer: In the Beginning and in the Now

• So good morning. Good morning to all of you. Before we pray, we want to make sure that we keep in mind that there are growing hostilities in the world right now. Um, and uh it’s probably going to keep going. And I’m talking about uh these Islamic attacks on civilians. Australia, of course, uh the main one right now in the news, but we need to pray for for these things.
• Pray against these things, but always knowing that the Bible told us there’d be days like this. So, friends, here we go. This is we’ve Okay, we’re just past 3,000. So, um here it is. Here’s our prayer. It is Genesis 1. In the beginning, God created. That’s listen, that’s it. But that’s everything. In the beginning, God created.
• And he created the heavens and the earth. And as we keep reading on in Genesis, he created everything. All everything. And yet, listen, this is important. You today might be saying, “I don’t care if he created everything. I know that he did. It doesn’t benefit me right now. What I need him to do is to create in me peace. I need peace of um mind that my my my mind is rattled. I need peace of mind.
• ” You might say, “I need peace of my soul. I need to be calmed and at rest. You may say, I need him to create greater faith in me. That’s beautiful. Yes. Yes to all these things. In the beginning, God created, listen, the you the ability for you and I to have purpose and meaning to life. In the beginning, God created the open door for him to come and speak to him.
