LIFT Daily Prayer: Day 145
-
And here we are five o’clock straight up and we have Memorial Day coming up tomorrow. And uh before we get going just quickly to say please make it a discipline tomorrow with your family or even if you’re by yourself. We need to make it a statement that we respect and honor those who have given their life that we might live free.
-
There there are soldiers, there are sailors, there are airmen who have given their lives for their country all around the world. Period. Of course, but part of living is what you’re living. Is it worth dying for? And in the world of nations, in the realm of nations, we have a privilege in America to give our all for the freedoms that we have.
-
See, the ratio to the freedoms is equal to the price to be paid for those freedoms to be maintained. And tomorrow we’re going to be, remember this, memorializing those who sacrifice themselves that we might live free. Ultimately, it’s a picture of Jesus Christ. If you think about it, the ultimate freedom is being freed from sin, death, and hell.
-
That came at the death of Jesus. You enjoy freedom. I enjoy freedom here in the United States because people have given their lives that we might go free. And that has been our nation’s history. You think of, for example, the the freedom, the liberty, the 100% opportunity that the American black has because of the civil war where black and white brothers war against wared against each other, killing one another, believing that what they were standing for in both sides was correct.
-
And thank God, thank God what God says was correct. One out. Think about that. By the vision, by the commitment of the one himself, Abraham Lincoln, picking up the vision of the four forefathers went about to establish a more per perfect union and thereby he laid down his own life. He was shot in the back of the head by a man who led a was a was a player in a in a a ring of those who wanted to enshrine slavery.
