LIFT Daily Prayer: Day 144
-
So, we have a a powerful prayer this morning. And remember, for those of you for those of you who have joined us um recently, what are we doing here? We’re we’ve dedicated the year of 2025 to give ourselves to morning prayer. And to do that, the whole point was and is and until December 31st, right? It’s going to be this is how you pray.
-
If we could label this gathering, it would be this is how you pray. And it’s praying the word of God, the Bible. So, um, this is vital. It’s absolutely important. And when you pray Bible, you can be rest assured, number one, you’ll never run out of things to pray about because it’s one of our problems.
-
Isn’t it funny? We have so much going on in our lives. And then when it comes to prayer, we feel or we think, “Gosh, I don’t know what to pray for.” And honestly, we all go through that, you guys. But that’s just our problem where we do not stop and sit and listen for the Lord to say, “This is what I want you to pray about.
-
” And that just dubtales into this discipline of these morning prayer times. It’s to pray the Bible. And what’s wonderful about it is it keeps your prayer anchored. It keeps your feet anchored. It keeps your theology anchored. So this is very very important. All right. Good morning. Here we go. It is Psalm 511. The infamous infamous Psalm 511.
-
And when I say that, I mean, yikes. you would say, “Isn’t that the psalm or David?” Um, it just has this emotional and theological explosion of of um repentance and returning back to the Lord because of his great sin with Bath Sheba. Yes, it is. And it’s awesome. It’s wonderful. It’s powerful to see the grace of God, the mercy of God.
