LIFT Daily Prayer: Day 125
-
So, good morning to all of you busy about this Monday. Uh getting back at what God has in store for you this week and uh the plans that he has that he’s going to be using you this week. and he’s going to be uh opening your eyes this week to divine appointments that he has for you already pre-arranged the goodness the sovereignty of God and and um in that kind of a argument we would get to the nature of God and his sovereignty and one of those attributes of his is that God has uh God has the ability It’s kind of hard for us as humans to
-
talk about his attributes this way, but he has he has what’s known as decree. Not degree like the temperature outside, but decree with a C. And the decree of God is God knows all things before they happen and he knows all things that could have happened. That’s that’s decree. The decree of God.
-
It’s amazing, isn’t it, to think that means if you come to a a fork in the road, if you come and there’s a turn, there’s an option to go left or right. If you go left and whatever unfolds unfolds, God knew about that before you turned left. If you say, “Well, what if I would have turned right?” Even though you never do turn right, you you wind up turning left.
-
Even if you turn to the right, God knows all those things that could have happened if you would have. Isn’t that amazing? The depth of our God. And it really ties in. I didn’t kind of plan on that until I realized really ties in uh to the scripture that we’re looking at this morning, everybody. And uh so good morning to everyone.
-
passing just 3 and a half thousand on our way to 4,000 this morning Monday morning live viewers all around the globe. God bless you guys. And so 1 Chronicles 15 verse 7, 1 Chronicles 15:7, not Corinthians, Chronicles, your Old Testament. God says, “But you take courage. Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.
-
Now listen, he says, “But you take courage. Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.” If you take half of that verse, sounds like a fortune cookie. your work shall be rewarded, right? Or uh you know, take courage. Okay? But God’s word says, “But you,” God is saying, “But you personally, me, Monday, today, take courage.” Take it.
-
See, Jack, I don’t have any courage. I don’t think any of us have courage. I don’t mean to offend any of those who think you do, but I don’t think you do. I don’t. Taking courage is I believe something that we have to do. I don’t think I don’t think people I don’t think anybody comes out of the womb with courage. This doesn’t happen.
