Jonathan Cahn Answers Candace Owens & Varied Anti-Semites

Jonathan Cahn, known for decoding biblical prophecy and mysteries, directly addresses the controversial statements made by commentator Candace Owens regarding Israel, Judaism, and the Jewish people, framing her rhetoric as the latest manifestation of the world’s “oldest hatred”. Cahn asserts that this escalating war against Israel is not merely political but is a spiritual and cosmic battle orchestrated by a dark entity, referred to biblically as the Dragon (Satan), whose purpose is to destroy the Jewish people and stop the purposes of God.

Cahn explicitly warned followers about widespread “fake videos and AI voice imitations” circulating online and directed them to his official channel for authentic prophetic updates and messages.

The Spiritual War: Israel, the Dragon, and the End Times (H2)

According to Cahn, Israel exists to fulfill the purpose of God, meaning the enemy (the devil) wages constant war against the children of Israel, seeking to slander, defame, and destroy them. This spiritual warfare uses any “mouthpiece any vessel he can” to spread hatred.

Cahn draws a parallel to the prophetic imagery found in Revelation Chapter 12:

  • The Woman Clothed with the Sun: This figure, depicted as giving birth to the child who will rule the world, can only be Israel. This imagery is consistent with the symbolism of the sun, moon, and twelve stars representing Israel in Genesis.
  • The Great Red Dragon: When the Dragon is cast down to Earth, he persecutes the woman who gave birth to the Messiah. Cahn warns that anyone who wars against Israel is effectively “putting yourself on the side of the dragon”.

Cahn contends that the devil is threatened by Israel because he knows that Israel, under Messiah Yeshua (Jesus), is destined to rule the world in the Kingdom of God, which signifies the end of the enemy’s kingdom.

Debunking Owens’ Anti-Semitic Accusations (H2)

Cahn systematically debunks several specific, highly charged claims made by Owens, identifying them as classic, recycled anti-Semitic conspiracy theories:

1. The ‘Masters of the Universe’ Conspiracy (H3)

Owens accused Israel of being a “cult nation” and the “master of the universe”. Cahn refutes this, highlighting the absurdity of calling a tiny nation the size of New Jersey, with a minuscule fraction of the world’s population, the “master of the universe”.

  • Ancient Hatred Recycled: Cahn states that this specific terminology is straight from the anti-Semitic playbook, reminiscent of how Hitler and others spoke of the Jews—as a helpless, oppressed, and victimized people who are somehow secretly controlling everything. This concept, now repackaged under the guise of attacking “Israel” or “Zionists,” is the same imaginary Jewish world conspiracy.

2. Pretending to be Refugees (H3)

Owens claimed that Jews who formed the nation of Israel in 1948 were merely “pretending to be refugees” after the Holocaust. Cahn vehemently calls this a “satanic” accusation.

  • Historical Distortion: Cahn points out that Hitler was killing Jewish men, women, and children, and the remnant that survived fled to the only refuge they could find: Israel. He cited his own father and relatives, who had tattooed concentration camp numbers, as being real, not pretend, refugees.
  • The Devil’s Accusation: Cahn notes the devil is an accuser and a liar (Diablos). The most persecuted, attacked people in human history are being attacked further on the charge that they were only pretending to be persecuted.

3. The Cult Nation and the Star of David (H3)

Owens called Israel a “cult nation” and claimed the Star of David is a “hexog,” implying it is a dark, cultic symbol.

  • Linguistic Confusion: Cahn clarifies that the word “hexog” simply comes from the Greek hexa (meaning six) and is a six-pointed star, a basic symbol that has been around for ages.
  • False Logic: Cahn dismisses the idea that simple geometric shapes used in ancient pagan cultures make Christianity or Judaism occultic. He notes that by the same flawed logic, nations whose flags feature the five-pointed star (the outline of a pentagram used in Satan worship), like America, China, and Cuba, could be deemed part of a cultic thing.

4. Blood Libel and Ritual Murder (H3)

Cahn addresses the darkest accusation made by Owens: that Jewish people are involved in “ritual murder”.

  • Psychotic Conspiracy: This accusation originates from the medieval “blood libel,” a “psychotic accusation from the depths of hell” that Jewish people killed Christian children to use their blood for baking matzah. Cahn states that this conspiracy theory was used in the Middle Ages to incite violence against Jewish people and is a classic example of satanic conspiracy theory from the mouth of the accuser.

The Defense of Zionism: God’s Will vs. Human Grief (H2)

Owens claimed that Zionism has brought America “nothing but grief” and challenged supporters to name one positive contribution made by Zionists.

  • Zionism Defined: Cahn defines Zionism biblically, stating it means the belief that the Jewish people have the right to return to their ancient homeland (Zion, the land of Israel) given to them by God.
  • God’s Will Precedes Opinion: Cahn stresses that Zionism is not about what Israel has “brought” to someone personally; it is about God’s will and the Word of God. God clearly stated in Ezekiel that He would gather the Jewish people from the nations where they were persecuted (as real refugees) and bring them back into their own land.
  • God is a Zionist: Cahn concludes that the God of the Bible, whom Owens claims to worship, “happens to be a Zionist” because He is for the gathering of the Jewish people back to their ancient homeland as a nation.
  • Israel’s Contribution: Israel, the same nation and people, brought the world everything good: the Word of God, the knowledge of God, the Messiah (Jesus), faith, hope, and new life.
