In the End – Part 4 (Hebrews 13:7-9)
-
I’m going to ask you to stay in church and as we read the scripture together, it’s no stranger to you, even though we’ve been away for a while from one another on these Wednesday nights. Uh tonight, uh by God’s grace, we’ll finish off this section that we’ve titled in the end.
-
And uh it’s not that we’re just talking about the book of Hebrews. It’s the last chapter, but uh the title in the end uh refers to exactly that. And so uh I’ll read verse seven. If you guys will pick it up in verse eight, it’s the only verse you got, so you can do it nice and loud. And so, here we go.
-
Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow considering the outcome of their conduct. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amen to that. Verse nine, do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.
-
Father, we pray that tonight, God, that we would just be comforted by your scripture where comfort is needed. That we would be exhorted where we need exhortation. And Lord, that we’d be admonished where admonition is needed. So Lord, have your way with us. We pray tonight. We ask it in Jesus name. And all God’s people said, “Amen.” Church, you may be seated.
