The enemy is always trying to make you return to what you were freed from. He will seek to use that if he can. But [music] this is very blunt this scripture. It’s supposed to be. It’s saying that old sin of yours, what you repented of, that [music] is like you spit it out of your life and that is that is like vomit.
Have nothing to do with it anymore. Stay away from that sin as you would from that. To view sin as disgusting as that. [music] That’s fine. The Lord is calling us to higher ground and we’re in agree. We are committing to that, setting a course for this year to higher ground, renewal, revival in every way.
One of the keys of going higher, going farther is to not go backwards and to not be wavering, to eliminate more and more from our lives. wavering back and forth, back and forth. And it’s not only that you can’t do one without the other. If you’re going back, you can’t go forward. If you’re going the sideways, you can’t go forward. But also, in as much as you do, and we’re all human, but as much as you do waiver, the more that you waver, the more even if you’re walking forward, it takes away momentum from your walk.
It takes away power from your walk. So, if we really want to go higher, we have to start eliminating those areas that are taking us to the right and the left and back. Let’s say you’re in the Olympics and you’re doing the high jump. You got to jump over that high bar. What do you do? What you do is you start running to gain momentum.
You cannot Nobody does that high jump without running to it. What happens if you’re running and say, you know, I’m going to stop in the middle. Well, then you’re not going to have enough momentum to get over that high ground. You can’t do it. You Why? Because you lost momentum. And the same way spiritually, in the same way spiritually, if you keep going back and forth and back and forth in that old sin, back and forth or back or you keep doing that, it’s not just that it’s not good.
