Today I want to share with you on the devotional part of Ruth and Boaz how when you open the scriptures when you read the word whether it’s your Bible in your hand or through the daily devotional okay you will see how it all plays out you cannot be so busy you got no time for the word because you find that when you take time in the word God will cause your happening to happen you find your day becomes full he brings to your mind things that you forgot that you need to attend to all right he prioritizes things for you and all of a
sudden you focus on those things and you accomplish much more than if you didn’t pray. So prayer is not a waste of time. Spending time in the word is not a waste of time. It is actually bring you to the place of the right place at the right time. The haps when I spend time in the word all right I don’t know how to explain it.
My my sleep is sweet and my day I’m able to do a lot of things in a short time. If you do that all right guess what you will meet not a formula you will meet not a technique but you will meet the person. >> You’re on your way to meet Jesus. Amen. >> Amen. And he’ll meet you at the point of your need. Are you ready? Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the council, but his delight is in the law of the Lord.
and in his law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in season whose leaf also shall not wither and whatever he does shall prosper. The world is after your time, your attention, your focus. It constantly floods your mind with what it has to offer.
It wants you to follow its counsel, its values, its ways. It wants to control what you behold. But God wants you to behold Jesus. He wants you to take time to sit at his feet, to delight yourself in him, to give your attention to the living word himself, and to do it in the day and in the night. Hi, church. When you take time to meditate in Hebrew, haga, to mutter under your breath day and night, Joshua 18 goes on to say, “For then you will make your way prosperous and then you will have good success.
” Just like the blessed man in Psalms 1. It’s almost as if the Lord wants to envelope your entire day in his presence to wrap your waking and your resting in a consciousness of him. This is the heart behind the new day and night daily experience. It’s not just another devotional. I see it as an invitation from the Lord himself to meet with him, the living word, before you go out about your day and again before you rest at night.
