How to Deal with the Wounds in Your Life – & Turn Them Into Blessings
Everybody needs healing from the inside. The hurt, the scars, the brokenness. He will bruise you on the head and you will bruise him on the heel. This is the first mention in the Bible of bruising, hurting, wounding in the Bible. On Friday night, we spoke of the enemy as a desecrator, the defiler. But here’s the first mention of wounding, and it’s concerning the enemy and man, the enemy and us. The enemy is a bruiser. He’s a wounder.
He wants to destroy man. He wants to destroy the image of God. He wants to destroy you. But if he can’t destroy you, he will seek to wound you, hurt you, bruise you, scar you, you. There are those who have reported having marks left on them from demonic encounters at night. I don’t know. But as a spiritual entity, the enemy primarily does not strike the physical realm directly.
He uses people. He uses flesh and blood to wound you. We live in a fallen world and a bruised world and a bruised world with with wounded and scarred people. Nobody goes through this world without getting hurt. Doesn’t happen. Nobody goes in the world without getting wounds because we are with fallen people and we are one of them.
But behind it is the enemy because he’s the bruiser and the wounder. He’s behind the wounds of your life. Any harm in your life, he’s behind that. He wounds you. He uses people, he uses events, he uses things to wound you, to harm you, to you, to scar you, to stop God’s purposes from coming to pass in your life.
Wounds come how? Through the anger of man. Wounds come through the evil of man. One’s wombs gone through rejection, through neglect, through abuse, through being overlooked from being denigrated, betrayed, attacked, verbally abused, verbally attacked, physically attacked, condemnation, slander, betrayal, judgment, hatred, bondage. It can come subtly, it can come overtly, can happen over time.
