Healing Through God’s Love

• Psalm 78:5-7. Let me give you about three or four scriptures. Read you in the ESV. He established a testimony in Jacob. And he appointed a law in Israel. So God establishes a testimony in Jacob, right? But he appoints law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers to teach their children that the next generation might know them.
• the children yet unborn and arise and tell them to their children so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God. So one thing that let’s just start here God starts with is he says I set laws in Israel and evidence and testimony in Jacob because Jacob was kind of jokester. He was, you know, he was a a deceiver, but he’ll be renamed Israel, which means one that will prevail with God and with man, right? Or I’m sorry.
• Yeah. So, with Israel. So, let me get this right. He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel. So, let me back up just in case you don’t know what I’m talking about here. Jacob, there is God of Abraham, God of what? Isaac and God of Jacob. So, Jacob and Israel are the same man. Jacob has a he steals his birthright, his brother’s birthright.
• Just to give you the quick version of this, Esau, he runs down to Uncle Laban’s house. Remember the story, works for Rachel for seven years and um sees her. He says, “Man, she’s hot. Got to have her.” Seven years. has a wedding night, honeymoon, and his uncle Laban puts Leah in there. Yeah. And Leah, the Bible says, is tendereyed.
• That doesn’t mean like pretty eyed, guys. That means she’s crosseyed. She was tall like olive oil and crosseyed. And Rachel was very beautiful and everything else. I’m going to stay on track tonight. I just want to know how does a man spend all night when I understand a Jewish wedding.
