Forgotten Words That Will Change Your Life
Life can be challenging. When you’re struggling, feeling anxious, or overwhelmed, what do you turn to? What do you truly believe? Have you ever considered that your belief about God influences every aspect of your life?
Think about it. What you believe about God shapes your identity, your values, and your behavior. It determines how you treat others—whether you choose to love, forgive, or hold grudges. It impacts your future and, ultimately, your eternity.
That’s why we’re launching a powerful new message series: The Creed—a deep dive into what we believe about God. And let me warn you—this series will be different! If you’re ready for something different, turn to the person next to you and say, “This is going to be different!” Type it in the comments if you’re watching online—because trust me, it will be!
Now, some of you might be wondering, “What creed are we talking about?” Just to clarify, we’re not referring to Creed from The Office, the band Creed, or Adonis Creed from the Rocky movies. We’re talking about the Apostles’ Creed—a declaration that has shaped Christianity for centuries.
This creed has been recited in royal courts, whispered by persecuted believers, and sung in prison cells. It begins with these powerful words:
“I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.”
These words are ancient, unshakable, and worth holding onto.
Now, you might be thinking, “Craig, I have real-life problems. Why are we studying an ancient creed when I can barely afford groceries?” (Can someone say amen?)
Here’s why: in a world drowning in moral confusion and cultural compromise, this creed provides a firm foundation—one that has stood the test of time for generations.
Throughout this series, we’ll break down the Apostles’ Creed, line by line, to help you build a strong, unshakable faith. Not a faith based on fleeting opinions, social media trends, or feelings—but one rooted in the timeless truth of God.
My goal is not just for you to know the Apostles’ Creed—but to believe it deeply, not as a routine recitation, but as a personal declaration of faith in the God who created you.
Because what you believe about God shapes everything about you.
