if Jacob quit no blessing if David quit before if any of them quit before if they gave up they would not have seen the blessing keep going keep going with the calling keep going with the relation keep going with the marriage keep going going with what God has given you and it’s really cool this the this is the return of the first world mission the first missionary journey Paul and Barnabas are sent out from Antioch there there was no there was no precedent for this it just God said it and they did it first missionary journey World Journey
they’re now going to return home from their Journey um and they go to a city called ionium a persecution breaks out they go to other cities and preach because of the persecution at Lyra uh they go and Paul there through a god through Paul heals a crippled man and the people begin worshiping Paul and Barnabas they think they’re Gods they they Paul and Barnabas stop it they do everything but but also persecution breaks out as well Paul ends up getting stoned as they throw stones at him and they take him out of the city the people
of the city they believe he’s dead he’s unconscious that’s where we’re that’s where we left off let’s go verse 20 but while the disciples stood around him he got up he arose so he wasn’t dead he entered the city the next day they went away with Barnabas to Derby now it’s great courage you’re just stoned by the city you get up and you go right back to the city but the next day they go to Derby verse 21 and after they preach the gospel of that City they made many disciples they returned to Lyra and to Iconium and to
Antioch BBY was not a major city uh Luke doesn’t say a lot about it but just that many were one over to the Lord and then they go to these other cities they’re basically retracing their steps heading back to Antioch there’s actually two Antioch here but they’re heading back to where they came from and what they’re going to do here is they’re going to follow up on the people that they won to the Lord because they went winning them now they’re coming back and they’re going to follow up you know it’s important a baby’s born we just had a
