Before You Start Your Day, Pray This: ‘Not My Will, but Yours, Lord

Dear Heavenly Father,

As the morning light breaks through the darkness, I lift my heart to You in gratitude. Thank You for the gift of a new day, for the breath in my lungs, and for the blessing of life. No matter what yesterday held, today is a fresh beginning—filled with new mercies, renewed hope, and opportunities to walk in Your grace.

Lord, I ask You to fill me with strength today—strength to rise above worry, to face challenges with unwavering faith, and to walk in the confidence that You are always with me. When I am weary, be my renewal. When I am uncertain, be my guide. When I am weak, be my strength. Let my heart remain anchored in Your peace and my mind focused on what is good, true, and pleasing to You.

Father, fill me with joy—not just fleeting happiness, but the deep, abiding joy that comes from knowing You. No matter what comes my way today, remind me that You are my source of peace and that in You, I have everything I need. Let joy overflow from my heart so that those around me may see Your light shining through me.

Lord, help me to live with purpose today. Open my eyes to the opportunities You place before me—to love, to serve, and to be a blessing. May my words bring encouragement, my actions reflect kindness, and my presence bring joy to those I encounter. Help me not to rush through this day but to remain present, fully aware of Your hand at work in my life.

I place this day in Your hands, trusting in Your perfect plan. Whatever doors You open, I will walk through in faith. Whatever doors You close, I will trust in Your wisdom. Let Your will be done in my life today, and may everything I do bring honor and glory to Your name.
