You know, there’s a lot of talk about revival and there’s a lot of talk about revival in America and people want to have it and they want to have it their way. But revival belongs to God. And the word revival is a very interesting word because the word revive demands something. The word revival cannot take place unless first there’s been a vive a life. Revive means to live.

Revive means to live again. And the church needs to wake up and live again. So everybody wants to know, are we in the midst of a revival? Well folks, only time will tell. But this is what we know for sure. If we have been revived, that is given a fresh life. That means the church comes back to life in a way that is holy, pure, and powerful.

And the church becomes so attractive to the lost that the lost want what the church has. That’s called revival. And when that happens everybody, people start to get serious about their lost condition and the church gets serious about reaching the lost. And that is the requirement of a awakening or what is known as a great awakening.

So let’s make sure that we understand this clearly in our Bible study today. When the church is revived and becomes attractive by holiness, the world wants a piece of that. The world will say, “What must I do to be saved in this awakening?” Then the lost see clearly that they need to be found and Jesus is that one.

The lost will awaken as the church is pure. Jesus wants us to live like that. So are you vived? That is going to be the title of our message today. Make sure that you really are a Christian. Make sure that your life is alive. If not, you need a revival in this study. Let’s see if you are vived.
