5 Signs We Are Living in the “Days of Noah” (Jesus’ Warning)

  • There are moments in history when we look around and wonder how did it come to this. The answer is found not in politics, not in culture, but in the pages of scripture. Jesus warned us that the end times would mirror the days of Noah. And friends, the days of Noah are here. People are living in rebellion, scoffing at God’s word, and embracing sin as if it were normal.
  • The judgment that came in Noah’s day did not spare anyone who ignored the warnings. and neither will the judgment that is coming in our time. When we look around today, it is impossible to ignore the moral decay that permeates every level of society. The streets, the media, the entertainment industry, even institutions that once held to some standard of righteousness now celebrate what God calls sin.
  • Violence is rampant and it is no longer shocking to see stories of brutality and cruelty dominate the news cycle. Sexual immorality which God clearly condemned is not only tolerated but glorified. Adultery, fornication, pornography and gender confusion are normalized, taught as rights or expressions of freedom.
  • While the word of God is labeled outdated or offensive, the scriptures warned us that in the last days, people would be lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. And indeed, pleasure has become the God of our age. In Noah’s day, the earth was filled with violence and corruption covered the earth. Humanity’s rebellion had reached a point where every inclination of the heart was evil continually.
  • That should sound familiar because today’s world mirrors that exact description. People pursue selfish ambition, greed, and lust without restraint. There is a blatant disregard for the sanctity of life, whether through abortion, euthanasia, or the glorification of lifestyles that reject God’s design. Children grow up being taught to question morality itself, to define their own right and wrong, and to reject authority, especially divine authority.
  • This moral chaos is not accidental. It is the natural result of turning away from God. But it isn’t just public sin. Private sin has spread like wildfire as well. Many Christians today are tempted to compromise their faith in order to fit in or to avoid conflict. They engage in behaviors that mimic the world, excusing them as cultural adaptation or personal choice.
  • Yet God does not grade on a curve. What was sin in Noah’s day is still sin today. And make no mistake, God’s standard does not change with the times. Even more alarming is the collective mockery of righteousness. Those who stand for God’s truth are often ridiculed, marginalized, and silenced.
  • Just as Noah faced ridicule while he faithfully obeyed God, anyone today who calls out sin or demands accountability is labeled intolerant, hateful, or extreme. People scoff at the idea of moral absolutes and insist that freedom means freedom from God’s laws. This rebellion is not harmless. It is a declaration against the creator himself and scripture warns us that those who embrace such rebellion are on a path that leads to destruction.
  • The pervasive corruption also has a destructive ripple effect. Families crumble, communities erode, and the young are left without guidance or moral anchors. Lawlessness becomes celebrated and sin is packaged as virtue. Even religion in many cases has become a tool for validating sin rather than confronting it.
