Papa’s Table

  • I want to talk briefly about just a few attributes of who our great God is, who our father is today. Uh being thankful to almighty God is far more than just being polite. It it provides us spiritual grounding. Being thankful is a spiritual grounding in a a very divisive and crazy world because it’s a recognition of God’s goodness in our lives beyond natural possessions beyond uh material pursuits.
  • It provides for us moral clarity. It provides cultural clarity. It provides societal clarity aligning our souls with the or in the essence of his being, his sovereignty, his his grace, his holiness, his unwavering care, his redemptive nature. Of course, his unconditional love gives us reason after reason after reason to be thankful.
  • It acknowledges God’s worth to us or his worthiness, his worthiness to us. Practicing a life of thanksgiving aligns the soul with divine purpose. Purpose only he gives. Purpose he protects purpose he give that gives fulfillment. Living in an attitude of gratitude cultivates within us humility, wisdom, ethical decisions as we submit to his his higher ways, his his higher principles.
  • And it reminds us, it reminds us that as important as hard work is, as important as applying oursel to life goals are, not everything we have is self-earned. Much of it is a result of Papa’s favor. His favor on our life. Favor is something to be thankful for. This past week, our nation set aside a time to be thankful to God for all that he connects us to, and it’s vast.
  • All the blessings that he he connects our lives to. Today, we come to the end of that week and and we will celebrate it with communion. We have spent time this past week around our family’s table in the the natural realm, sharing life with with family, sharing sharing life with friends. Today we come to Papa’s table, a a spiritual dimension today that is very very real.
  • a spiritual family’s table provided by by by Christ’s own sacrifice on the cross. A sacrifice that for all who receive it gives them abundant life and a sacrifice that says welcome. Welcome to the family. Welcome to Father God’s family. What favor? What acceptance. That’s what I want to communicate a bit this morning.
  • What what love, what what favor. I have a place at Father’s table. Amazing. I have a a place at the table with the Godhead. You born again ones, you hes heirs of God, you sons and daughters of God, have a place at Father’s table to partake of his bounty, sharing communion, common union with him, sharing communion with Jesus, sharing communion with Holy Spirit, sharing communion with the household of faith. There is nothing like it in any other religion on the planet. Come.
