Occupy The Top – The Kingdom Economy

The sources present a mandate for believers to occupy the top of the mountain in every sphere of influence—economics, education, arts, justice, and family—through a foundational principle: unconditional (Agape) love. God intends for Christians to transcend the world’s limitations by operating within a Kingdom economy. This spiritual elevation requires uncompromising faith, divine promotion, and the deliberate application of Kingdom principles.

The Mandate to Occupy the Mountains of Influence

The world is run by those who control the “mountains”. The devil attempted to get Jesus to worship him by offering him all the kingdoms of the world and their power and glory, claiming they had been delivered unto him. Today, believers must resist compromising with the world’s systems and must strive to rise to the top of these mountains.

  • The Goal is Dominion: The objective is to occupy the top of the mountain. The person who is at the top of the mountain controls the mountain. This means having uncompromising Christians in positions like the justice seats.
  • The Church as a Training Station: The physical church building is primarily a training station. The true church is not a building; it is what you are. Once believers recognize they are the church, they carry out the function of the church regardless of whether they are in a building or out of it.
  • Invincible and Indestructible: The Church is spiritually indestructible and invincible, meaning it cannot be conquered, subdued, or overcome.
  • Shining the Light: God deliberately plants the righteous among the wicked, placing believers in dark places because they are the light, and they are commanded to let their light shine. People should see the good works of believers and glorify their Father. The sources suggest people might ask about a believer’s Father after seeing their works, just as Pharaoh asked about Joseph’s father.

The Core Principle: Agape (Unconditional) Love

The foundation for operating effectively in the Kingdom is Agape love, which Jesus emphasized in response to the lawyer’s question about the greatest commandment.

  • The Two Great Commandments: The first and greatest commandment is to love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, soul, and mind. The second is to love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang “all the law and the Prophets”.
  • Unconditional Love: The love Jesus commanded is Agape—unconditional love. This means loving someone not because they love you, but because you have been commanded to love them. You must love others despite how they may feel about you.
  • Love is a Person: Love is not a feeling; it is a person—God is love. As believers receive God (the person of love) inside of them, they love others through that love. This kind of love is kind, gentle, and puts other people first, striving to make someone else “big”.
  • The Mark of a Disciple: Jesus gave a new commandment to love one another as He loved. This unconditional love is the way all men know that you are His disciples, even more so than working miracles or buying a big house. Believers are called to respond to the “love vacuum” present in the world.

Overcoming Worldly Systems with Higher Principles

The world system, being run by Satan, operates on revenge, manipulation, and death. Believers, however, possess higher principles that guarantee provision and triumph.

  • Higher Principles: Do not overcome evil with evil; overcome evil with good. When God is your sole source of provision, your increase is guaranteed.
  • The Fruit of the Spirit: If believers are led by the Spirit, they are not under the law. The fruit of the Spirit—including love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance—are love forces that were shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Ghost when you got saved.
  • The Necessity of Choice: While the fruit is already within, it requires choice to manifest. Believers must choose to love and choose to forgive. When facing persecution, demonstrating kindness and continuing to smile is a miracle. Operating in one’s own strength is a mistake.
  • Self-Control (Temperance): Temperance, or self-control, is essential to staying on the “loveline”. Forgiveness is also a choice; Jesus forgave those who persecuted Him on the cross, knowing they did not know what they were doing.

The Threat of Compromise and the Power of Promotion

The sources warn that compromise—bowing to anything other than God—will lead to being ruled by that thing at the top of the mountain.

  • Uncompromising Faith: Believers must rise with no compromise. The three Hebrews demonstrated this when they stated that God was able to deliver them, even if they didn’t know how it would happen.
  • Divine Promotion: God has plans of increasing for believers, promising that though their beginning may be small, their latter end shall greatly increase. Promotion does not come from the east or the west, but from God. God is going to see you and promote you.
  • Temptation and Escape: God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear. There is always a way to escape every temptation. Temptation (or offense) is unavoidable—it is “impossible but offenses are going to come”—and everyone will have the opportunity to get mad.

Kingdom Economy and the Key of Love

Believers are connected to a new economy and should not depend on the world’s economy, which operates with sweat and toil. The Kingdom brings wealth without painful toil.

  • Guaranteed Provision: Believers already have the provision and the capacity to manifest provision even when the world cannot.
  • Faith Works by Love: Everything works by love, even faith. To operate in faith, one must check their “love walk”. Sowing the seed of the word of the Kingdom, meditating on it, and speaking it will cause it to grow.
  • The Key to Manifestation: The key of love will open every door. By choosing to love and forgive others, believers can pray effectively for them.
  • Final Assurance: God loves believers so much that He gave His Son for them, even when they were sinning, and has restored them so they can love others.
