Ministers Conference 2025
The journey of Christian faith requires a radical, uncompromising commitment to Jesus Christ, rooted in the revelation of His righteousness and wisdom. The sources emphasize that spiritual maturity demands rejecting the comfort and compromise found within religious structures, prioritizing intimacy with God above all else, and living a life of self-denial marked by evangelistic zeal.
1. The Urgent Call to Action: Rejecting the Comfort Zone
The message underscores the immediate necessity of stepping out of spiritual comfort and engaging in the urgent rescue mission of the lost.
The Danger of the Pleasure Boat
A vivid video analogy compares a comfortable, well-equipped ship (representing the Church) that possesses 24 lifeboats and 64 crew members, yet only deploys three boats for a desperate rescue operation. The leaders inside the vessel refuse to act, rationalizing that the ship’s purpose is protection from the outside, declaring, “there will be no rescue operation”.
This illustrates the danger when religion sits inside the boat, prioritizing scheduled church activities over helping the dying world. The sources stress that the Christian life is not merely about sitting in a building on Sunday; rather, believers are the body of Christ, the fullness of Him that fills all in all, called to rescue a dying world.
The Cost of Discipleship
Entering the Christian life means signing up to die. Jesus instructed followers to deny themselves and pick up their cross daily [10, 17, Conversation History]. If the church fails to act, the only excuse remaining is a lack of understanding of who God created us to be, an excuse that will not stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ [9, 16, Conversation History].
2. The Foundation of Identity: Righteousness and Forgiveness
True, fearless ministry flows only from a deep conviction of being right with God, which transforms the believer’s identity and mentality.
Jesus is the Truth and Wisdom
The only truth that sets people free is Jesus. The Apostle Paul declared that Jesus Christ has become for us wisdom from God, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. This means that Jesus is heaven’s answer for all needs.
- Revelation, Not Reasoning: Intellectual reasoning is insufficient for grasping truth; rather, the mind must be renewed through the revelation of scripture.
- The Spirit of Truth: Believers require an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of Truth and reminds us of everything Jesus did.
Forgiveness and the Forgotten Past
The blood of Jesus is so powerful that it does more than just secure forgiveness; it takes away the sin of the world. When a person is born again, the old self is killed and buried.
God not only forgave believers but forgot their sins and will never bring them up again. Believers must reckon themselves dead to sin and awake to righteousness. This positional right standing gives the believer the same relationship with the Father that Jesus presently has. The blood of Jesus paid a price to help the believer’s thinking be completely transformed, not just to grant a ticket to heaven.
3. Combating Compromise: The Wisdom of Man
The greatest threat to this radical calling is succumbing to the wisdom of the world, which is characterized by self-seeking and results in spiritual compromise.
Demonic Wisdom vs. Godly Wisdom
James 3 describes the “wisdom” prevalent in the world and often creeping into the church:
- It descends not from above but is earthly, devilish, and demonic.
- It is full of self-seeking, envy, and strife, leading to confusion and every evil work.
This worldly wisdom leads people to hide inside buildings, complain, and demonstrate mean conduct. In contrast, Godly wisdom is pure, peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy, and without hypocrisy.
The Fear of Man and Religious Hypocrisy
Many ministers and leaders compromise the message to maintain comfort and financial stability. They fear man and religion, which causes them to sacrifice truth on the altar of being “culturally relevant” to receive praise.
- Consequence of Compromise: Compromising leads to watering down the message, avoiding the supernatural, and refusing to preach righteousness. A ministry that focuses on maintaining big numbers to secure big offerings will be afraid to share the message for fear of offending contributors.
- Woe to Shepherds: Woe is pronounced upon shepherds who deceive and seek to be stroked and pet by people.
- The Reward of Hatred: Conversely, Jesus called those who are hated and persecuted for His sake “blessed” or “happy”. If a believer does not know they are loved by God, being hated by man hurts; but if they know God’s love, hatred is viewed as a reward for doing good.
